Teresa Barron is a Grant Specialist for the Suquamish Research & Strategic Development department. Her job duties include research, project planning and development, writing and submitting multiple grant proposals and budgets, coordinating with staff, community members and Federal/State/Charitable Foundation professionals, as well as project reporting, evaluation and compliance. Teresa started working as a Grant Specialist for The Suquamish Tribe in 2005 and served as staff for the Suquamish Foundation at the same time. She has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from Oregon State University, and 31 years of grant writing experience for Native American comm unities (2 years Makah Tribe, 16 years Skokomish Tribe, and 13 years Suquamish Tribe). On her time off, she enjoys going to local fun runs, swimming, kayaking and photography.
