Albie Lawrence is a Grant Writer for the Suquamish Tribe. She holds a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Washington. Prior to working as a grant writer, she spent nearly 7 years working as a youth curriculum facilitator and trainer for the Healing of the Canoe Project, a collaboration between the Suquamish Tribe, Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe and the UW Alcohol & Drug Abuse Institute. She still helps provide Healing of the Canoe curriculum training to interested tribal communities across the nation. Albie lives in Suquamish with her husband, who is a Suquamish tribal member, and their three children.
